Standardized Use Policy

The purpose of this Standardization Policy is to establish guidelines for maintaining consistency and quality across all academic writing, research, publication, and scholarly consultation services offered by Plethoryt. Standardization is essential to ensure clarity, fairness, and efficiency in the delivery of services. By using Plethoryt, you agree to this Policy, in addition to the Terms and Conditions.

1. Standard Measures and Quantities:

  • Page Definition: A standard page is defined as 250 words, double-spaced, and formatted in Times New Roman 12-point font, or 500 words, single-spaced, and formatted in Times New Roman 12-point font.

  • Word Count: Word count will be calculated using word processing software to maintain accuracy, fairness, and transparency for all users. Acceptable software includes MS Office, LibreOffice, Pages, and WPS Office.

  • Data: One data represents an individual unit or occurrence within a dataset.

  • Reference or Literature: One literature refers to a material with unique citable information.

Beyond defining standard pages and word counts, Plethoryt acknowledges the significance of individual data points and unique citable information in datasets and literature. This recognizes the diverse nature of academic content.

2. Mentorship Duration:

Consultation sessions via online or virtual will be standardized to a maximum of 30 minutes each, promoting equal access to expertise. The 30-minute standardization for consultation sessions not only promotes equal access but also recognizes the importance of focused, concise mentorship interactions for maximum impact within a limited timeframe.

3. Content Appropriation:

The content, output, or learning materials provided to you will be based on the expertise level you requested. For example, if you requested an expertise level for "Undergraduate," the content and the instructional materials delivered to you by the affiliates will be appropriated for undergraduate level. The level, degree, and type of appropriation will be solely dependent on the expertise of the affiliate and the internal quality evaluation by Plethoryt.

Plethoryt underscores the personalized nature of content delivery, emphasizing that the appropriateness of materials is intricately tied to the expertise level requested by the user. This ensures tailored assistance in line with academic needs.

4. Deadline Uniformity:

Submission deadlines are set at UCT +0 time (Coordinated Universal Time) and will close at 23:59 on the specified date. By setting submission deadlines at UCT +0, Plethoryt ensures a fair and standardized timeline for users globally, avoiding any potential confusion arising from different time zones.

5. Quality Assurance:

  • Plagiarism Checks: Plethoryt will conduct continuous plagiarism checks on all content provided by affiliates to ensure the originality and academic integrity of the work delivered to you. You may or may not be given a plagiarism report at the end of request completion. However, Plethoryt will do its best to limit and eliminate any occurrence of plagiarism as a commitment to academic honesty. You can learn more about our Academic Integrity Policy here.

  • Review Process: An internal review process may be followed, involving multiple layers of evaluation to maintain quality standards. We may send the content submitted by affiliates to experts outside Plethoryt who will be able to provide comprehensive peer-review evaluation on the material. You may or may not be given a review report at the end of request completion. However, Plethoryt will work hard to limit and eliminate any occurrence of plagiarism as a commitment to academic integrity.

Plethoryt not only commits to plagiarism checks but also clarifies the multi-layered internal review process, including external peer reviews. This robust quality assurance process underscores a commitment to delivering high-quality, original academic content.

6. Open Access and Publicly Available Resources:

Plethoryt will prioritize the use of relevant and reputable sources in gathering references, literatures, datasets, and metadata, but only from open-access resources as permitted by copyright law or by publisher’s terms of use. Subscription-based literatures may be used in content, but you shall be responsible for gaining access to the material in a rightful and lawful way. The provision of Plethoryt to you does not transfer our interest or our capabilities to access these materials, and we do not encourage any act that may violate the publisher’s copyright.

Both parties should acknowledge that the use of publicly available resources is subject to the terms and conditions set forth by publishers, journals, and other content providers. Both parties should agree to provide proper citation, document, and clear attribution to the use of such sources, in both the content provided by Plethoryt and the final output made by you. Plethoryt operates independently of the content providers and does not imply endorsement or affiliation with any specific journals, publishers, or data sources. We do not claim ownership of the original works used in the literature review, data mining, or metadata extraction.

The emphasis on using open-access resources aligns with Plethoryt's commitment to accessible and reputable information. Users are reminded of their responsibility for lawful access to subscription-based materials, ensuring ethical use of resources.

7. Language Standardization:

All academic work and consultations, without prior notice, shall use English as the language of communication. In the event that a notice of language preference was made, and both parties have agreed on that preference, then it will be or can be used as the language of communication.

If the document submitted for a service (e.g., edit or formatting) contains non-English phrases, words, or sentences (“characters”), the whole or a section of the document will have to undergo ‘Translation Service’ first before conducting the requested service. The additional fee for translation will be added on top of the fee quoted for the intended service. An exception to this is when the non-English characters are to be communicated as is on the document. For partial translation, charges will apply per page on which the non-English characters appeared, whether or not it occupied the whole page.

The provision for language preference and translation services demonstrates Plethoryt's awareness of linguistic diversity. It ensures that language barriers do not hinder users, albeit with additional considerations for translation services.

8. Recording the mentorship session:

Both parties should agree and undertake to record any mentorship session, which may be a basis for making feedback, creating reports, claims, and investigations for any complaint, violation of compliance, or evaluation of affiliate performance.

The agreement to record mentorship sessions not only serves administrative purposes but also recognizes the value of these recordings as a basis for feedback, reports, and evaluations, enhancing the overall mentorship experience.

9. Technology Standards:

Requests and orders can only be initiated using Plethoryt. Some service requests may be initiated through emails but not digital products.

Online mentorship and consultation require the use of video conferencing software such as Zoom, Skype, Meet, etc. The use of such software will be communicated to you prior to your schedule. You are responsible for setting up your device, which includes but is not limited to a microphone and video camera.

Plethoryt and its affiliates primarily use MS Office to generate and compile files. Additional files that may be provided to you may have file extensions .pdf, .jpg, .png, .tiff, .zip, .gif., .mp4., .txt., and others. You are responsible for downloading the necessary software to access these files provided to you.

Plethoryt's preference for initiating requests through our platform ensures a streamlined and efficient service process. The requirement for specific software and equipment for online mentorship reflects a commitment to providing a seamless and effective virtual learning experience.

10. Third-party software:

In addition to the software enumerated herein, you are also responsible for downloading third-party software, plugins, and extensions necessary to open, view, check, analyze, confirm, copy, and extract the information from the files or documents provided to you. This includes but is not limited to statistical analysis results, data configurations, database archives, and annotation files. You are solely responsible for ensuring the security and authenticity of the third-party software you are using.

The acknowledgment of users' responsibility for third-party software underscores the technical nature of the services provided. Plethoryt prioritizes user autonomy and security while accessing diverse file formats and information.

11. Continuous Improvement:

Regular reviews will be conducted to assess the effectiveness of these standards, and adjustments will be made as necessary to meet evolving needs and industry best practices. We may modify this policy without prior notice to you. You are responsible for regularly checking this policy to ensure you are updated with the standardization process undertaken and imposed by Plethoryt.
